Bass Fishing:

On our first day out Dan, Blake and I went out to Orvis Pond while waiting for Mr. Anderson to reply to our email. We went out and took B-Roll of orvis pond. We tried to take some of the fish and working with the reflection of the water, and then we tried to take some cinematic shots of the orvis pond. Although the next day we lended our SD card out and when we got it back everything was gone, so we lost all of our B-Roll.

This is a shot we took, to test the 50 lens for the 7D. Before we were taking shots of the coach/state trooper/pro fisher man on the boat, explaining what everything is, and everything else we took for B-Roll, we were testing out the lens, testing the amount of aperture and the focus. We decided this was the lens we wanted to use, because we liked the shot it gave us. On the day that we set up to go view the Bass fishing practice, we showed up extra early to get some practice shots of the surrounding to make sure we got it right when we showed up. Once they showed up we took some B-Roll of everyone learning and listening as well as them doing "target practice" We took shots from all different angles and shots, just so we had options and verity. We actually got lucky enough for someone to catch a fish, which was pretty cool. We also did some interviews, mostly Mr. Anderson.

This is Blake editing, Blake is in all my photos and videos because Dan was behind the camera and often at work. We noticed with the 7D, the color, again, was very blue. Which allows for us to color correct however we want to, although we kept the blueness of a lot of the shots. The most we color corrected was Mr. Andersons Interview. We color corrected it all in one long shot before we chopped it up so it would be a lot easier. Then we started to go through and talk about what we thought was able to be cut out of keep. We cut out a good minute of him talking. We also switched around the order of some of his interview so it flows in a better order. After fixing all the small bugs with this we then put B-Roll on top. The B-Roll, edited by Dan was very cleverly placed, if you pay attention, and helps the logistics of the news story. Looking at it now it is still very blue but other than that this is our final cut, and we are very happy with the results and the shots we made out with.
